MEDITATION 11 – MOVING THROUGH LIFE WITH GRACE
“Flow with Life, Not Against It”
“So often in life, we find ourselves locked in a constant battle, fighting for everything—whether it’s success, relationships, or even peace of mind. We’ve been conditioned to believe that if something isn’t difficult to achieve, it must not be worth having. We brace ourselves against the current, struggling against the natural flow of life. And yet, when ease finally comes—when things fall into place without effort—it can feel uncomfortable, almost unnatural. We ask ourselves, ‘Can it really be this simple?’
But here’s the paradox: Ease is the way life should flow. In Buddhism, we learn that resistance creates suffering. It’s like swimming upstream in a river, exhausting ourselves when we could instead release control and let the current carry us. Imagine a leaf gently floating down the river. It doesn’t fight the water’s flow; it trusts the river to guide it to where it needs to be. The same is true for us. When we stop resisting, we realize that life has its own rhythm, one of ease and grace.”
This isn’t about passivity or giving up on our goals. It’s about learning to recognize when we’re forcing things and when to let go, trusting that the universe will carry us forward. When we align ourselves with the flow of life, we find that peace, contentment, and even success come more naturally—without the constant struggle.”” – David Scott
In yoga, we talk a lot about living in a state of grace. What is grace?
Grace commonly refers to a smooth and pleasing way of moving
“”As we sit here in stillness, let’s acknowledge a simple truth: Nobody is perfect. You’ve probably heard people tell you, ‘You’re perfect just the way you are.’ But in reality, we are all imperfect. We always have been, and we always will be. And that’s okay. In fact, it’s more than okay—it’s how we were designed to be.
There is a deep, powerful force—call it the universe, nature, or something greater—that intentionally crafted us this way, with all our flaws and imperfections. These imperfections aren’t mistakes; they are part of what makes us human. And the more we resist this truth, the more we suffer.
But if you can embrace this imperfection, something profound happens: You invite grace into your life. Grace isn’t about being flawless; it’s about accepting yourself fully, exactly as you are, imperfections and all. And grace is a gift—a gift that allows us to navigate life with ease, compassion, and understanding. When we stop striving for an unattainable perfection and instead honor our humanness, we open ourselves up to true peace.
So as you breathe deeply, remind yourself that it’s okay to be imperfect. It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s in that space of acceptance that we find grace.”
“To offer no resistance to life is to be in a state of grace, ease, and lightness. This state is then no longer dependent upon things being in a certain way, good or bad. It seems almost paradoxical, yet when your inner dependency on form is gone, the general conditions of your life, the outer forms, tend to improve greatly. Things, people, or conditions that you thought you needed for your happiness now come to you with no struggle or effort on your part, and you are free to enjoy and appreciate them – while they last. All those things, of course, will still pass away, cycles will come and go, but with dependency gone there is no fear of loss anymore. Life flows with ease.” – Eckhart Tolle
Everything is in motion. Everything flows. Everything is vibrating. The earth’s crust is self is a constant conveyor belt. While the Mid Altantic Ridge (in the Atlantic ocean) is called a constructive plate, because it creates underwater mountains from the molten earth core, The Marianas Trench (paralleling the Mariana Islands), marks where the fast-moving Pacific Plate converges against the slower moving Philippine Plate. The Pacific plate, moving at 3” per year is consumed and swallowed back into the earth and returned to molten lava.
“The Japanese potter spends so much time and energy, artistically crafting the outside of the teapot, but it is the emptiness inside that holds what we desire.” – David Scott
“Clearing clutter—be it physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual—brings about ease and inspires a sense of peace, calm, and tranquility.” – Laurie Buchanan, PhD
“Be the moon in somebody’s night.” – Yasmin Mogahed
Ease & Grace – This is a time to learn and adapt. You are being guided to slow down, take your time, take in the current moment, and allow space for events to occur. You often put too much pressure and expectation on yourself, and this is not required. Also, with constant effort and rush, you’ll find yourself becoming overwhelmed and tired. When you are too forceful, you use up too much energy, and that may hinder your progress at this time. If you are in a difficult situation at work or with other people, don’t feel you have to prove your skills, talents, or worth. Just step back and breathe, and through grace you will be seen, understood, and recognized for who you truly are.
You are being guided to flow like water. Don’t feel the need to rush or force your way ahead—a gentle approach will be more rewarding. Have patience and move with subtlety and grace. Your angel guide is encouraging you to see life as a dance. One step at a time, you will make your way through this incredible journey, learning more and growing along the way. How can you move with more elegance? How can you slow down? How can you bring more grace and poise to your current situation? This is a time to soften, breathe, and move in a way that is steady but flowing. This information may come as a surprise or even a challenge to you, but your angels know it will be beneficial for what is coming your way next.

“Weeping can be classified as either a sign of weakness or a sign of strength by what you do after the weeping.” – Ikechukwu Izuakor, Great Reflections on Success
“Hope is the grace of endurance in the stormy days that keep us walking until we see a rainbow, knowing we made it to the other side of doubt.”
“Those who flow as life flows know they need no other force.” Lao Tzu
This reminds us that life is not something we must fight against, but something we can move with, just as nature does.
Imagine a tree, deeply rooted in the earth. It stands tall and strong, yet it doesn’t resist the forces of nature. When the wind blows, the branches sway and bend without breaking. In a storm, the tree remains grounded, its roots firm, but it allows its leaves to flutter and move. It doesn’t try to stand rigid against the wind because it knows that by moving with the wind, it preserves its strength and survives the storm. The tree’s power lies in its ability to adapt, to flow with the forces around it, rather than resist them.
We, too, are like that tree. When we root ourselves in acceptance and mindfulness, we can remain steady and strong, even as life’s winds blow around us. We don’t need to force our way through difficulties. Instead, we can bend, sway, and adapt, knowing that life’s natural flow will guide us where we need to be.
As you breathe deeply, feel yourself becoming grounded, like the roots of a tree, strong yet flexible. Let go of any resistance and trust that, just like the tree in the wind, you can remain centered while allowing life to flow around you.”
“Energy flows where intention goes.” Rhonda Byrne
“Everything is temporary. The emotions you are feeling right at this moment, thoughts streaming across the canvas of your mind right, people in your life, and your scenery. They flow into your life and and they flow away, in the dance of impermanence. Grace is moving through life in harmony and with acceptance of these changes. Like a surfer, flowing with the force of a wave and carrying them forward in graceful balance. Let it come, let it go, let it flow.” David Scott
“Flow doesn’t come to those who try to do things well, it comes to those who try to do things freely.” – Barry Michaels
It is not the strongest person who wins in life, but it is the most nimble, flexible, and adaptive person who wins in life.
